CALL FOR PAPERS - CONFERENCE ON ITALIAN CULTURAL INTEGRATION

ITALIAN CULTURAL INTEGRATION: FACTS & FICTION
PALAZZI Florence Association for Intenational Education and Stony Brook University (NY) organize a conference on Integration held at sQuola – CCIS (Centre for Contemporary Italian Studies) in Florence (Italy) on 12 and 13 November 2010.
Multicultural Integration is one of the most up-to-date themes to be discussed all over the world and to focus on, since it is a step in the nearest future societies. The aim of this conference is to introduce, to focus on and to outline different perspectives that concern Italians as migrants from the past two centuries on and contemporary Italians in their country integrating with other ethnic groups. In order to examine Multicultural Integration through all media and from various points of view, we encourage all those interested in this topic to give serious consideration to participating in this event.

Proposals for a paper or panel on any aspect of Multicultural Integration in Italy or concerning Italians abroad (if possible the most contemporary facts, the best considered) should be sent by MAY 31, 2010 by 3 pm at info@squolafirenze.it.
Abstracts (in Italian and/or English) should be approximately 500 words and accompanied by a brief CV.
