On April 11, 2015, the Apicius hospitality division of Florence University of the Arts is hosting an international hospitality conference. This event will address the significance of different cultures while emphasizing Italian hospitality, culinary arts, and wine culture in an academic setting. The conference features:

  • 3 distinct panels
  • Representatives from prestigious universities and the hotel industry
  • Italian food and wine producers
  • Cooking show and tastings

An important focus of hospitality is the relationship between hosts and guests, which requires knowledge of cultural differences in an international context. It is critical to be informed about which mannerisms and practices are appropriate in certain situations because there are diverse customs throughout the world. At this conference, speakers from various backgrounds will share different approaches to hospitality based on industry experience.

This event is an exciting learning opportunity for all individuals interested in the hospitality field as well as those who have an interest in Italian gastronomy. Highly acclaimed international speakers will be in one place at one time to increase your knowledge in this subject area. The conference is also essential because it gives the Florentine community a platform to spread primary features of Italian tradition. Education throughout the world is integral for our future professionals to advance in this industry.

Write to for further details on how to participate. The conference is open to the general public and FUA community, space may be limited.
